Julian Assange arrived Tuesday evening at the court on the island of Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands archipelago, to implement the agreement that will grant him his freedom.

Assange is expected to plead guilty to espionage charges before a US federal judge, who is expected to sentence him to five years in prison deemed to have been served, leaving the 52-year-old Australian officially free.
According to a witness from Reuters, the programmer has already pleaded guilty, executed the agreement that will grant him permission to return to his homeland in Australia, and completed the journey that began at Belmarsh high-security prison, in southeast London, through Stansted Airport. From there he flew to Bangkok, before arriving at the remote North American island of Saipan in the western Pacific Ocean.
Assange landed in Saipan at around 6am local time (9pm in mainland Portugal), on a private plane he chartered to complete the agreement he signed while still in prison in the UK. Upon his arrival on the island, he immediately went to the hearing, avoiding the press that was waiting for him at the airport and at the entrance to the court.

Upon his arrival to the court in a white SUV, accompanied by his team and the Australian-American Ambassador (Kevin Rudd), Assange was questioned by journalists who insisted on asking questions, but the Australian did not make any comment.
