This announcement about the current President of the United States of America came in response to a question from radio broadcaster Howard Stern during an interview on his program “The Howard Stern Show” in New York.

Democratic President of the United States, Joe Biden, announced today, Friday, April 26, that he is available to participate in a television debate with Republican Donald Trump, his rival in the presidential elections in November, to change his position, which he has adhered to until now.

This is the first time that Biden has explicitly announced his willingness to confront Trump on television, as he had previously avoided committing to this availability and conditioned his participation in the debates on the behavior of the Republican candidate.

Biden's announcement came in response to a question from radio broadcaster Howard Stern during an interview on his program “The Howard Stern Show” in New York.

When Stern asked Biden if he would participate in a debate with his predecessor about the November elections, the White House leader replied: “I will participate, somewhere, I don’t know when, but I would be happy to debate with him.”

So far, the Biden campaign has questioned Trump's ability to respect the established rules in a potential debate, and his campaign has not finalized any plans in this regard.

The North American president's announcement comes in the face of significant pressure from the country's major media outlets, such as the Associated Press and television networks CBS, CNN, Fox and ABC, which this month unveiled an open letter urging Biden and Trump to participate. In pre-election discussions.

Trump also addressed the debates on several occasions and said he was willing to participate in a face-to-face meeting with Biden “at any time and place,” although during the Republican primaries he refused to confront opponents from his own party. .

Immediately after Biden's announcement was revealed, one of the Republican candidate's advisors, Chris Lacivita, wrote on the 10th podium: “Okay, let's organize ourselves!”

In the United States, the debates are organized by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates, which has already scheduled three presidential debates for September and October in Texas, Virginia and Utah.
