João Pessoa City Council warns against vaccination for all ages

Many vaccine-preventable diseases are transmitted through contact with contaminated objects or when a patient sneezes, coughs, or talks, expelling small droplets containing infectious agents. Therefore, if someone is infected, they can transmit the disease to others who are not also vaccinated. The main function of vaccination is to generate immunity, contributing directly to the fight against and eliminating diseases caused by viruses or bacteria.

Therefore, João Pessoa City Hall continues to warn and invite people of all ages to attend a health service to evaluate their vaccination schedule and update their records. The doses can be administered this Monday (8) in the family health units, open from 7 am to 11 am and from 12 noon to 4 pm, at the municipal immunization center and in municipal clinics, open from 8 am to 4 pm.

There are also three fixed points located in Shopping Sul, in the Bancários neighbourhood, in the Home Center Ferreira Costa, on the banks of BR-230, which are open from Monday to Friday, from 12 noon to 9 pm, and in Shopping Tambiá, which is now It also has a fixed point, open from 12pm to 8pm. Whether through the administration of all vaccinations, which are part of the routine calendar, or active campaigns, making life easier for users who cannot go to the health service during working hours.

All available vaccinations from active campaigns (COVID-19 or influenza) can be given simultaneously with any other vaccinations forming part of the routine calendar, at any time period, in the age group of six months of age or older.
