Gone are the times when Fatima Lopez depended on television to earn a living. After falling out of tune with TVI (and with Cristina Ferreira), where he was one of the station’s highest-paid faces, he moved to SIC but without wanting to return to the mind-boggling rhythm of the past, without much time to think or dwell on other interests.
Today, in addition to special shows on the Paço de Arcos channel, Fátima López, who earns approximately 7,500 euros a month, lives day to day and basically… outside the magic box.
And it could be thanks to the thousands of other projects he has devoted himself to. He writes books, novels and also on wellbeing such as “Simply Flow – Atreve-te a Abrandar”, has a cooking channel on YouTube with Chef Vitor Sobral, has a blog on healthy lifestyle and yoga, and also gives lectures on the countryside. As happened at the Arte & Consciência Festival in Ericeira. This is in addition to presentations at business events.
Despite this, Fatima Lopez confirms that she is not satisfied with her work at SIC, and even says that she feels “challenged” by what is offered to her. But what is certain is that he will not abandon anything he has built since leaving TVI. “I don’t want to leave the path I started when I left TV,” he warns. “It was a path I achieved with a lot of work, commitment and merit,” he says.
He confirms that working outside of television “is something that will continue. From time to time I do television work,” warning that it becomes more distracting.
