Health teams distribute information and approach arthropod-borne viruses during the multi-exposition

Municipal Health Department (SMS) teams are implementing precautionary measures related to arthropod-borne viruses at the Multifeira Brasil Mostra Brasil, which will be held until next Sunday (17), at the João Pessoa Convention Center. In addition, the municipality of João Pessoa has introduced a center for vaccination against Covid-19 and influenza without the need to make appointments for the public.

According to Joao Pessoa’s Director of Health Surveillance, Raquel Moraes, the measure implemented in the multifeira includes providing information materials with all the instructions on the prevention of arbovirus, as well as working to approach and raise awareness of the people attending the venue, calling for attention to the necessary precautions to avoid the spread of the virus. “Our goal is not just to provide a brochure, which some sometimes throw away, but to get people to join this sexually transmitted virus campaign, leading citizens to be an endemic factor in their homes and multiplying information and guidance for all,” highlighted Raquel Moraes.

A healthy convoy in the neighborhoods – The same preventive work against arboviruses, which was carried out at the Multifeira Brasil Mostra Brasil, will be transferred this weekend to Caravan Saúde nos Bairros. The events take place this Saturday (16) and Sunday (17), from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the UEPB Campus in Joao Pessoa, located in Rua Horacio Trajano de Oliveira, s/n – Cristo Redentor, in the building of the former Colégio José José Lins do Rego.

immunization – Anyone who visits the Multifeira Brasil Mostra Brasil will also have the opportunity to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and influenza. The Municipal Health Department has provided a vaccination center for the public who need to take doses of vaccinations. The venue is open from 16:00 to 21:00 and no appointment is required.
