These are just some of the investments that, as I said, are planned in Coimbra in the field of health. Manuel Pizarro commended the “reform, strengthening and rehabilitation of the National Health Service (SNS)” and explained that “it is a pleasure to talk about this in the province of Antonio Arno, to which we owe the generous work and vision of creating the National Health Service””.
The Minister of Health announced that the SNS will have the “largest budget ever” next year, “nearly 15 billion euros, up 10% compared to 2022”. He stressed that these funds will be put “at the service of the people, the improvement and rehabilitation of the SNS”, which will include the evaluation of the profession of professionals and the improvement of infrastructure and equipment.
