Anyone who has been using Windows for some time will surely remember the game Minesweeper. It is the popular and addictive mining game that delighted many users but has since disappeared from Microsoft’s operating system. Of course it can still be installed from Microsoft Store. However, it is not quite the same. So, if you’re looking for an alternative to play again, Google offers Minesweeper from the browser.
Google provides Minesweeper game from the browser
If you are using Google Chrome, you can play by typing Minesweeper or Minesweeper in the search bar. Minesweeper Google Doodles appear at the top of search results. To start the game in the middle of the screen, simply click the play button. However, if you prefer a full-screen immersive experience, or if you are using a browser other than Chrome, you can also visit the Minesweeper Doodle website to play.
The Doodle version of Minesweeper has three difficulty levels: easy, medium, and hard. The number of hidden mines (and thus the size of the field) increases as you progress through the levels. The easy level has ten mines, the medium level has 40, and the hard level has 99. The controls are simple – left-click to discover a piece and use the right-click to place a flag.
Remember, the goal is to uncover safe pieces and avoid all the mines on the board.
You have to pay attention to the numbers on the tiles, because they give clues about where to place the mines. For example, “1” means there is a mine on an adjacent tile, “2” means two mines on adjacent tiles, and so on.
If you suspect a tile is hiding a mine, flag it to avoid it later. The game ends the moment you click on the mine.
