French electronic producers Krono are set to release a new remix of Jairic’s single “Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You” on 20 February 2026, as the sibling duo continue to build their commercial profile through high-profile collaborations and catalogue expansion.

The remix, to be released via independent label Rich Air Music, represents the latest move by brothers Mickaël and David Couderc to extend their reach in the global electronic and pop markets. The pair have built a reputation for commercially successful remixes blending deep house, melodic house and electronic pop, positioning themselves among France’s export-driven electronic music sector.

Their international breakthrough came with a remix of Aaron Smith’s “Dancin”, which achieved viral success and has accumulated more than one billion streams across platforms, making it the original artist’s most-streamed track and one of the defining house remixes of the past decade.

Industry and media reception has helped underpin Krono’s commercial credibility. YourEDM said of the track: “[On Krono’s remix of Aaron Smith’s ‘Dancin’] “Bringing full meaning to the phrase “Dance like no ones watching” this remix by Krono creates a timeless sense of being in a moment, a moment of dance””.

Magazine Vibe added: “[On Krono’s remix of Aaron Smith’s ‘Dancin’] “This flawless deep house selection exudes a pinch of that chilled “French touch” sound with hints of Rhodes and pretty synth arpeggios that tickle your ears.””

Strong remix portfolio and major label backing

The duo’s remix portfolio has also drawn praise from other music media. Notion Magazine wrote: “Opening with a hard-hitting bang and sputtered throughout with addictive basslines, Krono transforms indie synth-pop Tee Dee Dees’ track “War” into a euphoric dancefloor filler.”

Dancing Astronaut noted: “[On KRONO’s remix of Karmacoda’s ‘Deja Vu’] “KRONO slows the tempo down, injecting a soothing rhythm that’s ever-pleasing to the ears.””

Meanwhile, Red Bull Denmark said: “[On Krono’s remix of Kongsted’s ‘Boomerang’’] “…grandiose, electronic beats, with a touch of summer sun added.””

Following the viral success of “Dancin”, Krono secured releases and remix work with major dance labels including Armada Music and Ultra Music, and attracted support from influential DJs such as Tiësto and Pete Tong. Collaborations with artists including Lost Frequencies, Klingande and VanJess have further strengthened their industry standing and global reach.

Jairic’s rising profile adds momentum to release

The new release centres on Detroit-born artist Jairic, now based in Cannes, whose genre-blending sound combines alternative rap with cinematic and electronic influences. His recent EP, “n=40”, generated nearly two million streams and secured editorial and radio backing, including support from NPR Music and coverage from Wonderland Magazine, Notion, Clash and EARMILK.

The original version of “Don’t Let Me Put A Track On You”, taken from the EP, showcased Jairic’s hybrid approach, combining rap lyricism with melodic vocal elements and shifting between gritty rap passages and more melodic sections.

Krono’s remix shifts the track toward a more electronic and pop-leaning production, adding heavier basslines, percussion and synthesiser hooks, while retaining the vocal performances, including those by Julie Weber.

Producers highlight French touch influence

The producers said the track reflects their core musical identity and French electronic heritage.

“The remix of “Don’t Let Me Put a Track on You” takes a sharp pop-electronic direction, rooted in a contemporary aesthetic driven by deep bass and synths drawing from French Touch foundations, with influences blending Ed Banger and Daft Punk. Melodic synths bring an accessible, modern feel, while Jairic’s energetic rap energizes the track without breaking its pop balance.”

Remix strategy reflects wider streaming-era business model

The release highlights the continued commercial importance of remixes within the streaming economy, where reinterpretations of existing tracks can generate significant additional revenue and audience reach for both original artists and remix producers.

For Krono, the strategy has been central to their growth. Inspired by French touch pioneers, the duo first built an audience through online releases before converting viral momentum into sustained label partnerships, industry collaborations and international recognition.

Their latest project also reflects the increasingly international nature of modern music production, with a French production team remixing a US-born rapper now based in France for global digital distribution.

As streaming continues to shape how music is monetised and discovered, Krono’s latest remix demonstrates how established producers are leveraging remix culture to maintain commercial relevance and expand their presence in the competitive global electronic music market.
