Students of the Restoration and Catering course of the Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG) have published a recipe book for as much as €2 for all displaced university students (and with little experience in the kitchen). But now with food prices soaring, the focus has shifted to finding new economical recipes for everyone.

Spread the tomato sauce over the slices of bread, add the tuna, add the cheese and oregano. Take it to the oven to melt the mozzarella and serve. It costs 2 euros and we assure you that it is worth it.

Vegan nail in bread

We haven’t forgotten about vegans, and until proven otherwise, there’s nothing easier than a vegan nail into baking. All you need are ripe tomatoes, onions, red peppers, and mushrooms.

The first step is to cut the vegetables into thick slices and start grilling them. Then just drive a nail into the bread with the sauce—and serve Chips Sweet potatoes and peanuts for a different twist.

And for dessert: pineapple and ice cream

If you have to bring dessert to dinner or if you need something sweet, a slice of pineapple, a scoop of ice cream, cinnamon, and honey will do the trick.

Start by putting honey and cinnamon on a pineapple slice and put it in the oven for ten minutes. Then, serve it with a scoop of ice cream you have in the freezer and, if you like, add a scoop Palmer to become crunchy.
