During 2023, DECO received 14,488 energy complaints in 2023, the majority of which were for excessive bills.

On World Energy Day, celebrated today, May 29, DECO warns of the urgent need to save energy, not only to reduce consumers’ monthly bills, but also to help mitigate climate change.

“Energy efficiency contributes to a healthier and more sustainable environment and promotes more conscious and responsible use of energy resources. Adopting efficient consumption practices allows consumers to pay less on their electricity and gas bills and helps build a better, more sustainable future for all.”

To help consumers save energy, DECO has developed EVA platformsupported by ERSE.

The EVA platform includes information and advice to allow consumers to reduce their electricity and gas bills by up to 40%, according to DECO. Moreover, on this platform citizens can find the EVA Academy offering free courses that simplify home energy optimization, empowering consumers to make informed and economically beneficial choices.
