Dimitri Bevol could score a big comeback match with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez this weekend if he can beat Gilberto Ramirez in Abu Dhabi.

Bevol retained the WBA heavyweight title by defeating Canelo in May – becoming the second man to defeat the Mexican – and the Russian defends the belt again here.

Bevol, 31, is putting his gold on the line against unbeaten teammate Ramirez, also 31, in the main event at the Etihad Arena.

Bevol had a record 20-0 in Abu Dhabi with 11 knockouts to his name, while Ramirez’s 44-0 record, the Mexican South had 30 of those victories.

When is it?

The Bevol vs Ramirez match will take place on Saturday 5 November at the Etihad Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The main card will begin at 17:30 GMT (10:30 PT, 12:30 CT, 13:30 ET), with track walks for the main event scheduled for 21:00 GMT (14:00 ET). Pacific, 16:00 GMT, 17:00 ET).
