What should I do if the traffic light turns yellow when my car passes? Fortunately, nothing serious, and Viva Verde has documentation on this.

Via Verde is the electronic toll system used in Portugal and one of the main national inventions. Then learn what to do if the yellow light appears.

The topic we bring to Pplware today has already been covered in the past over here.  However, Via Verde has provided more information on this issue.
If you exceed the toll, in the Via Verde lane and a yellow light appears, start by checking if you have any alerts in My Via Verde > Message Center, via the Via Verde website or app.

If you do not have any alerts yet, please check each of the following questions:
If you are using Via Verde for the first time Or you need to activate a new ATM reference, you must activate the ID.

Enter the Multibanco card linked to the account where you want to make debits via Verde
Select Payment and other services > Transfer > Via Verde > Activation
Enter the payment reference
Complete the process

We suggest that you confirm with your bank whether this process is possible through local banks.  It may take two or three days for the card to become effective.







Whether the linked debit card is valid for payment.  If not, you should exchange it at an ATM. 

Enter the Multibanco card linked to the account where you want to make debits via Verde
Select Payment and Other Services > Transfer > Via Verde > Exchange
Enter the payment reference
Complete the process

If the registration number of the vehicle you used is linked to its ID. You can check and change the registration number at My Via Verde > Vehicles and IDs.

If the ID is correctly placed on the windshield of your car, or in the case of motorcycles, in the bag provided.
If you would like to replace the ID previously, but the "Replace ID" option is not yet available in A Minha Via Verde, you will have to wait for customer service to contact you.
If you pass a green lane and the yellow light comes on, you know what to do.  Do not forget that on the Via Verde portal you can consult other information, such as movements, points, traffic alerts, resolve debts, request a new ID, etc.
