Intel processor

Intel is preparing to unveil its new generation of processors, and one model that could arrive later this year is the new Intel Core Ultra 5 240F.

The company's new processor recently appeared in some benchmark tests, leaving some of its details missing. According to what the leaker revealed @xinoassassin1 from Xthe Intel Core Ultra 5 240F should be one of the first devices to be identified within the Arrow Lake-S family, which will also be one of the first lines to leave aside the famous “Core i” branding.

The Core Ultra 5 240F should have a hybrid production system, which should place it in different color configurations, namely in the “8+16” and “6+8” format.

In the first case, as the name suggests, the processor will consist of 8 high-performance cores and 16 energy-efficient cores, thus a total of 24 colors expected for the model. In the second case, there are 6 high-performance cores and 8 energy-saving cores, resulting in a 14-core processor.

The Core Ultra 5 240F should also be available in the K version, which will allow enthusiasts to get more performance from it through overclocking. Ultimately, this model should be a direct successor to the Core I5-14400F, which was launched in January 2024.

This model should also adopt the LGA 1851 socket, which will be a direct successor to the LGA 1700 socket, which was launched more than three years ago. It should also only be compatible with DDR5 RAM systems, thus leaving DDR4 support aside.

As for potential release dates, details indicate that should happen later this year, but specific dates have not been revealed yet.
