Since the announcement that Endeavor will form a new global company, NewCo, that will bring together WWE and the UFC, a lot has been said about what might happen in the future of the two companies.
This unification is historical and has already been discussed by both Vince McMahon and Ari Emanuel, who will be at the helm of the new company, and Dana White, who will continue to lead the UFC.
In an interview with AP News, Dana White spoke a little more deeply about the business, but denied the possibility of WWE Superstars competing in the UFC.
They have the strength of a WWE fan base. They have the strength of the UFC fan base. They have virus power. We can reach all of these people in many different ways. There are a lot of features now. WWE has a lot of resources.
Now all you need is just a phone call away. All they have to do is pick up the phone now and say: “How did this happen? I need this. I need this connection. How did they do that?”. We all work together to make sure everyone wins. We’ve been together a few times over the same weekend.
Get out of a UFC event, you have Raw. Who do you know. These are all things that can be fixed when it comes to work.
The difference between the UFC and the WWE is, if you look at the WWE, they have entertainment value, and they have great athletes doing their thing. It is known that the results are predetermined.
When you look at the UFC, this is about as real as you can imagine. This is our logo. We have these amazing athletes who have to be well versed in all these different aspects of martial arts. Then there’s also the entertainment aspect, but it’s a real struggle.
There are no predetermined outcomes in the UFC. There will not be any kind of mix-ups in this regard.
