Policlínica Codajás, a unit associated with the state Department of Health (SES-AM), received about 20 new patients Thursday afternoon (11/10), who were discharged from the Diabetic Foot Program and will now be treated on an outpatient basis. who works on this unit. The group will continue treatment in consultation with specialists in physical therapy, nutrition, psychology, angiology, and the nursing team.

During the work, each specialist had the opportunity to introduce himself to future patients and explain to the users what actions would be adopted from the consultations.

Director general Codajas . clinicPhysical therapist Rainer Figueiredo explains that every month the unit receives new patients with all affection and attention, who, in addition to health, seek a special welcome.

These patients come from different neighborhoods in Manaus and even from outside the city and come here in search of quality of life. He assured that it is fair to be received in the best possible way and with the highest quality service, provided by SUS and the Amazonas government.

Patients also had the opportunity to ask questions with specialists, as well as participate in a draw for supplements and orthopedic shoes and receive information leaflets and Covid-19 masks.

Housewife Marina Ribeiro, 81, says her outlook on future counseling is the best. “I hope to get better,” he said, “I’ve already had my toe amputated, and with the directions I’ve received here and the bandages, I now hope to continue my health care for a better quality of life.”

The Diabetic Foot Treatment and Exit Program is a partnership between the Amazonas State Government, SES-AM and the SEGEAM Association (Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Health Management in Amazonas) and assists diabetics in five dispensaries in the state of Amazonas, including the Codajás Polyclinic.
