“s“The United States has not learned to treat other countries equally, and we have a responsibility to work with the international community to teach the United States a lesson,” Wang said in a statement published Saturday evening on the ministry’s official website.

According to the Spanish news agency EFE, Wang’s position comes one day before the arrival of United States Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, scheduled for today, in the city of Tianjin, northeastern China, at a time when relations between the two countries are going through a tense stage.

“The United States always wants to pressure other countries with its power, believing that they are superior. However, I would like to say clearly to the United States that there has never been a superior country in this world, nor should there be, and China will not accept,” the Chinese minister said. for any country to consider itself an advantage.

Today, the US Deputy Secretary of State arrives in Tianjin, where she is scheduled to meet with Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng, who is responsible for US-China relations, and possibly with Wang.

US State Department “No. 2” Wendy Sherman will meet Chinese diplomats in what will be the most significant visit to China since Joe Biden’s arrival at the White House in January.

“All aspects of the relationship will be on the table in these meetings,” a senior US official said Saturday in a conference call.

Tensions between the United States and China have also recently escalated after warnings from Washington to American companies not to do business with entities operating in Hong Kong or the Xinjiang region.
