In all, 3,751 cases were ignored, 134 cases are under investigation, and 855 mosquito infestations were recorded spread across the city.

The Kamburić Health Department, through the Epidemiological Surveillance Department, informs that so far, on August 11, the municipality has been official with 928 positive cases of dengue fever in Kamburić. In all, 3,751 cases were ignored, 134 cases are under investigation, and 855 mosquito infestations were recorded spread across the city. So far, the municipality has recorded 3 deaths.
There is still no vaccine for dengue fever. People with symptoms and needing care should seek out the health unit closest to their home, which is open from 7am to 5pm. In cases of severe symptoms, the patient must go to the Hospital Cirúrgico Camboriú (HCC).
Methods of prevention:
– Avoid using dishes in plant pots. If using, sand to brim;
– keep litter boxes covered;
– Always leave the water tanks closed, without any openings, especially the water tanks;
– Plants such as bromeliads should be avoided, because they collect water;
– Treat the pool water with chlorine and clean it once a week;
– keep drains closed and unclogged;
– Wash animal food and water bowls with a brush at least once a week;
– removal of accumulated water from the panels;
– keep the toilet lid closed;
– avoid the accumulation of rubble, as it can become a concentration area for dengue mosquitoes;
– Inform the Municipal Health Department of a possible Aedes aegypti outbreak by phone (47) 3365-9515;
If you have symptoms of dengue, chikungunya or Zika virus, find the health unit closest to where you live for help.

  • WhatsApp Dengue is (47) 3365-9412.
    The Department of Epidemiological Surveillance advises residents to remain vigilant and eliminate potential mosquito breeding sites. Additionally, daily use of insect repellents and even aerosols when necessary is important.
    Agents of endemic diseases wear uniforms and are identified with badges from the city hall and the Dengue Fever Control Program. For more information, contact us by phone (47) 3365-4623 and (47) 3365-1098.
