Bizzy’s “better half” admitted that she was shaken by this news: “I broke down, alone, in the room with Afonso, as soon as the doctor left the door. I saw the fear on his face, trying not to cry and saying I: Mom, wipe your face, the doctor is coming and he will see you crying.” How did we manage to deal with this, in desperation?I tried to pull myself together,for him,with the father at our side,and our balance improved,everything became easier to manage.After the result of the lumbar puncture,luckily,viral meningitis was diagnosed due to Enterovirus. And we breathed a sigh of relief, realizing that this was the best thing they could tell us in the face of this condition.

“Afonso was brave and quickly reacted positively, and was already out of intensive care. It was the biggest horror we have ever experienced. Amidst the terrifying fright we laughed, the mother danced to TikTok songs to distract him, we celebrated every positive news, we tried to guess the food we were going to serve , and we stayed side by side for hours … “, he added.

At the end of the letter, Maria de Barros left a list of thanks: “I can only thank those who accompanied us to the hospital, everyone was very sensitive and sympathetic, thanked everyone who was in some way with us and filled us with positive energy and our amazing neighbors who welcomed us in the best way.”
