Mini Pepper

Beeper recently revealed a way to finally let users use iMessage on Android. The Beeper Mini app was launched as a way to allow iMessage communication from Android, without using Mac servers in between.

However, it didn’t take long for Apple to block the app’s method of sending messages, in what became a game of cat and mouse. On the one hand, Beeper is working to allow sending messages from Android to iMessage, and on the other hand, Apple is trying to block this ability.

But this game has an impact on Beeper’s image. This is because every time the platform becomes inaccessible or blocked, the company needs to correct the problem, delaying its plans again. Meanwhile, users are forced to wait for a patch, which does not please many people.

Furthermore, methods to “bypass” Apple locks are becoming increasingly complex for Beeper users. Many end up giving up simply because it has become “too complicated” just to send messages on iMessage.

On the latest repair platform, Beeper now states that in order for users to use its app, they must have a jailbroken iPhone, in order to set up their accounts. Obviously, this is something that is beyond the ability of many.

However, this also appears to be the last method Beeper will explore to bypass Apple’s block. The company confirmed that this will be a last attempt to keep the Beeper Mini active, and if Apple blocks the function again, the company will no longer try to bypass the ban.

For Beeper’s part, the company responded that Apple’s continued ban on a way for users to communicate securely makes no sense, for a company that vouches for privacy and security.

At the same time, Beeper is also responding to criticism that its communication system with iMessage is insecure, having made the entire “bridge” code created by its app available for sending messages to the iMessage system. With this, any user can check the source code of the application.
