The American coach, Greg Berhalter, launched, on Wednesday, 26 players who will take them to the Qatar World Cup 2022. The absence of Reggie Cannon, from Boavista, and the regular presence in the squad (28 international matches / one goal), turned out to be one of the most prominent events.

The 24-year-old full-back has been injured over the past month but has recently returned to the competition and had legitimate aspirations to be there.

The United States is part of Group B at the World Cup, along with England, Wales and Iran (led by Portuguese Carlos Queiroz).

Here is the list:

Goalkeeper – Matt Turner (Arsenal, ING), Ethan Horvath (Luton Town, ING) and Shawn Johnson (New York City FC).

Defenders – Carter Vickers (Celtic, ESC), Serginio Dest (AC Milan, Italy), Aaron Long (New York Red Bulls), Chuck Moore and Walker Zimmerman (Nashville SC), Tim Ream (Fulham, ING), Anthony Robinson (Fulham, England), Joe Scully (Borussia Monchengladbach, ALE), DeAndre Yedlin (Inter Miami)

Midfielders – Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams (Leeds United), Colin Acosta (Los Angeles), Luca de la Torre (Celta de Vigo, Spain), Weston McKinney (Juventus, Italy), Younes Moussa (Valencia, Spain) and Christian Roldan. (Seattle Sounders FC)

Forwards – Christian Pulisic (Chelsea), Gio Reina (Borussia Dortmund, ALE), Jesus Ferreira (FC Dallas), Jordan Morris (Seattle Sounders FC), Josh Sargent (Norwich City), Tim Weah (Lille, France). Wahaji Wright (Antalyaspor, Tor)
