At 55 years old, Jorge Gabriel talks about his role as a father

The RTP presenter is the father of Duarte, 31, Mariana, 23, Maddalena, 20, and Pedro, 7.

With four children of very different ages, Jorge Gabriel says the way he monitors each of them’s growth and education depends on several factors. “Parents are different ages when they have children, children have different backgrounds, they are boys and girls, and ages and environment make them have different preferences. So, every head has its own sentence,” the presenter explains to Lux.

“They have completely different behaviours. It is not worth under the illusion that we can give our children exactly the same attention, and have the same method of education and upbringing with one or the other. They are all different, and in our lives, our behavior towards them is also different. Maybe I was condescending towards the little ones More than, for example, towards Duarte, who is the eldest. “Experience makes the difference,” he adds.
