If you miss the deadline and drive with an expired driver's license, you are committing a road traffic offence;


If you allow more than 2 years (and up to a maximum of 5 years) to pass without renewing your license, you will have to take a special exam consisting of a practical exam;


If you allow more than 5 years (maximum 10 years) to pass without renewing your license, you will have to successfully complete a specific training course and take a special exam consisting of a practical exam.
