hEileen Rhodes, a mother of two, died Friday in her sleep on a flight back to the UK where she was traveling with her husband and children.

The plane had to make a stop in Frankfurt, Germany, where Rhodes’ remains were held, while husband Simon and children Nathan and Emma continued their journey home, according to a report. Sky News.

Within hours of leaving the eight-hour flight, the woman was “unconscious” and unable to be resuscitated, her friend Jen Gage revealed on the GoFundMe page.

Jane revealed that Helen, who was a midwife, was a “loyal wife and mother” and that she “kept the family together”, regretting that the tragedy happened in front of her children.

The friend who organized a fundraiser “to help fund the payments to move Helen’s body from Germany to the UK” commented, “Although this was very shocking to the family, everyone took the time to say what they wanted to say.” To help with family and funeral expenses.

Helen Rhodes, who has not seen her parents and family since before the pandemic, was relocating after more than 15 years of living in Hong Kong. Jane remembers being “unique” and “the pulse of her community” in Tung Chung, Hong Kong.

“Helen liked to talk and make friends easily. She couldn’t walk a few meters without running into someone who knew her,” he commented, saying that he had sensitized many women to “health related” issues.

The friend added, “Helen was always willing to help others. She was smart, witty and generous with her time,” describing the loss of her family as “inconceivable.” For society, “the pain we feel is paralyzing,” he revealed when he commented that they were all “lucky to have known her.”
