The concert started with “Now We Are Free”, then moved on to “Godfather”, played “Phantom Of The Opera”, and only then did he stop to say “Hello, Lisbon! Thank you, Portugal!”. These were the first moments of the debut of Stjepan Hauser, who was born on June 15, 1986 in Pula, Croatia, Portugal. The artist, who began playing the cello at an early age, demonstrated exceptional musical talent, studying at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London and then at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Stjepan Hauser gained international fame as one half of the music duo 2Cellos with his musical partner Luka Šulić. 2Cellos is known for their unique and catchy style that blends classical and pop music. They have gained fame through YouTube videos covering popular songs and have released several albums. Hauser and Schulich have performed with well-known artists and in prestigious venues around the world. They have played with Elton John, performed in the Royal Variety Performance in front of the British Royal Family, and appeared on numerous television shows and concerts.

The crowd was already buzzing when Hauser played “My Heart Will Go On,” the famous Celine Dion song that served as the soundtrack to the hit movie “Titanic.” Then came the songs “Caruso” and “Thank God” (celebrated by Leonard Cohen), which the crowd sang at the top of their lungs. “Okay, I’ll leave, you’ll keep singing,” joked Hauser, who continued his solo career, releasing the album “Hauser Classic,” known for his passionate, emotionally charged performances on the cello. He has the ability to fuse classical technique with contemporary music, making his music accessible to a wide audience.

Stepan Hauser’s talent and innovations have made him a respected figure in the world of classical and crossover music. He has inspired many young cellists to explore new possibilities with the instrument and proof of this is the way Hauser played some songs yesterday in the country’s largest concert hall, such as “Let’s Get Loud” (Jennifer Lopez), and “Livin’ la Vida.” . “Loca” (Ricky Martin), “Despacito” (Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee) or “Volare/Bamboleo” (Gipsy Kings), reach young and old alike.

“Do you want more?”, he asked and the Portuguese shouted, getting “Bella Ciao” and a Latin mix as an added bonus.

Hauser now continues his European tour. It will be shown next Sunday in Dijon, France.
