La Salle Niterói School, in the Niterói neighborhood, hosted the fourth and final Municipal Health Preparatory Conference. The corresponding event for the Southeast Region conducted a survey and discussion of public health-related topics in Canoas, with 141 people in attendance. Each quarter of the city had its version.
Canoas Deputy Minister of Health Denis de Mello explained the importance of the four meetings held in the municipality. “From the preliminary conferences, the guidelines are taken for our municipal conference, the deliberations will go to the state conference and then to the national conference. Community participation and contribution by addressing these needs is important. The guidelines will be used to build our municipal health plan,” he said.
Principal Priscilla Torrales, 39, highlights what it means to be present and contribute to discussions about health. “I think it’s very important for the community to be able to speak its mind. Too often, we hear complaints from offices, in the streets, in UBS, in places where there are sanitary units. Not many people can take that to the Chamber, the City Council, or the secretariats.”, Lives.
Now, the next step will be to hold the 8th Municipal Health Conference, which officially opens on March 31st and begins at 9:00 am on April 1st, in La Salle University Auditorium. Everyone can participate.
