A man has been charged with murder after the death of a 55-year-old in Hemel Hempstead.
It comes after Police were called to Malmes Croft in Leverstock Green on Monday, following reports of concerns for the welfare of a man.
53-year-old Richard Martin from Barley Croft has been charged with murder and is due before Hatfield Remand Court today (Wednesday, 13th June).
Detectives from the Herts, Beds and Cambs Major Crime Unit is seeking to reassure residents, as they believe this is an isolated incident involving two people who are known to each other.
Detective Inspector Phil Moss said: "We are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this man's death and significant enquiries are on-going.
I'd like to reassure the local community that we believe that this is an isolated incident involving two people who are known to each other.
While we conduct our enquiries you should expect to see police officers in the local area".
