Police in Luton are trying to find a 'Good Samaritan' who came to the aid of a woman who was being robbed at knifepoint...

The victim woman was being threatened by a man who was demanding she hand over money, bank cards and her phone.

The stranger went up to them and offered the offender his own mobile phone.

The offender then demanded further property from the lady, before running towards Havelock Road.

Bedfordshire Police say the the incident happened in Popes Meadow on Old Bedford Road on September the 29th between 1 and 1.30pm.

:: The offender is described as a white man with a ginger beard and ginger hair, around 20 years old and between 5' 9" and 5' 10" and wearing a dark hooded top.

:: The Good Samaritan is described as a white man in his 20s.

Investigation Officer Gary Hales said: "I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who saw anything.

However I'm also keen to speak to the Good Samaritan who stopped to help the victim, who is incredibly grateful for his actions, as I hope his account will help my investigation".
