Burglars have raided the stables of a riding school for people with disabilities in Furneux Pelham.
Police say the break-in was discovered on Thursday morning - all of Brook Cottage Farm's 33 saddles and driving harnesses were taken.
The team there have had to cancel a number of lessons and are appealing for donations of riding gear.
They wrote on Facebook: "Very sad to report we had a break in last night and have lost all our saddles and driving harnesses. No lessons tomorrow.. However we are hoping to be able to have some lessons Saturday... Due to the fabulously generous donations of saddles. We are so touched by the generosity we have received."
The East Herts Rural Policing Team Tweeted: "We are continuing our enquiries, unfortunately those responsible have no idea how much they have affected the riding school & the impact on those who use their services."
