The "World's oldest supermodel" is among the many Hertfordshire residents to be named in the New Year Honours list.

90-year-old Daphne Selfe from Baldock has been awarded a British Empire Medal for services to Women and Fashion. Daphne, who was born in July 1928 told reporters earlier this year "I don't do retiring!"

Also recognised is Stevenage-based William Bryden, who is Head of Scenes of Crime for the British Transport Police. He receives an OBE for services to Policing.

King's Langley resident Samantha Perahia - Head of Production UK for the British Film Commission - has been honoured for services to the Film and Television Industry.
