Gatwick Airport’s contribution to the UK economy is around €6.5bn (£5.5bn), according to a study by Oxero.
The study identifies that the majority of this contribution was in the South East region, in West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Brighton and Hove and Croydon, particularly in West Sussex, where it supports 22,047 jobs, Surrey, where it supports 11,908 jobs, and Kent, where employment is 7220 jobs.

Lisbon ranked fourteenth among the largest European airports in terms of the number of passengers in 2023, reaching 17.76 million, with a total of 116.1 thousand movements.
