The European University announced, Thursday, October 14, the entry of Adalberto Campos Fernandez, the former Minister of Health and a specialist in public health, to take over the coordination of the field of health sciences.
With this strengthening, the university is taking an essential step towards strengthening the field of health in Portugal, as defined in its strategic plan. The health zone has been working and developing for several years, as reported in an interview with Journal Economics by Brigadier General Helia Gonçalves Pereira.
“This choice, on the one hand, is in line with the European University’s strategic plan, which provides for a strong investment in health (technology, innovation, human capital and new programmes), and, on the other hand, will support the university more quickly and ensure pillars of excellence, meeting the needs of the Portuguese society itself. ‘,” Helia Gonçalves Pereira explained, in a statement.
Adalberto Campos Fernandez served as Minister of Health in the Twenty-first Constitutional Government (2015-2018), he holds a PhD in Health Administration from ISCSP (University of Lisbon), and a Masters in Public Health in Health Services Administration from ENSP (New Lisbon University) ) He graduated in Medicine from the University of Lisbon Medical School, specializes in public health and has specializations in Pharmaceutical Medicine and Health Management from the Portuguese Medical Association.
